Academics

Recently, I have published poetry and short stories in Nightsun, Borderlands, Westview, Birmingham Poetry Review, The Harbinger, and The Laurel Review.  I presented a Bible as literature paper called The Failed Covenant and a battery of midrashic poetry at the G.E.S. Perspectives in English literary conference in Lubbock, Texas.  In March of 1997, at the Bowling Green Pop Culture Association conference, Violence and Pop Culture, I presented a paper correlating Richard III to a serial killer in Shakespeare's The Tragedy of Richard III.

I completed my Master's degree in Creative Writing at Texas Tech University in Lubbock.  My thesis director was Dr. William Wenthe and my second reader was Dr. Doug Crowell.  While enrolled there, I taught two sections of freshman composition each semester, emphasizing the processes of composing and the concept of peer editing.

My thesis is titled  My Bones Are My Bones.
